The Babywearing Group
Wearing your baby in a baby carrier can help soothe a fussy baby or toddler and keep your little one close while leaving you hands-free to go about your daily life. In many cultures the art of carrying babies using pieces of cloth has been passed down through generations. Because in America this tradition is not deeply rooted, we have started an organization in Norwich, CT to bring together experienced "babywearers" with parents or caregivers who would like to learn more about this useful and nurturing practice. Whether you're expecting your first, wearing multiples, or interested in wearing your toddler on your back, we'd love to meet you!

What we do: In our monthly meetings we will discuss many different traditional and modern cloth carriers, including ring slings, pouches, wrap-around carriers, and soft structured carriers—and provide hands-on support, as well as exchange tips and tricks. |
