
On the Grow Tot Classes are exciting classes for parents and children (ages 2 to 4) to enjoy together. Meet other families while discovering easy ways to make the most of your child's earliest years, all in the context of delightful games, songs and activities. Delivered by an On the Grow Educator, these 45 minutes classes go beyond signing to teach your children important lessons about self control, cooperation, colors as a foundation for learning and appreciating nature and how to nurture a child’s sense of pride in accomplishment.

About our Babysigns Instructor:

Amy leads the Babysigns programs at Papoose. She received a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut with a minor in Human Development and Family Relations in 1991. Amy teaches Infant Massage, Baby Signs® Parent Workshops, Sign, Say and Play™ classes, 1-2-3 Magic Positive Parenting Classes. Child development, education and literacy are Amy's specialites and she welcomes any questions you may have in these areas. |
Papoose Class Policy: Please note, we will pro-rate your session if you start after the session begins. We do not offer pro-ration or refunds for classes missed for vacations or illnesses unless provided a doctors note. We have to be strict with this policy to allow the maximum number of students in each session. When there is adverse weather conditions we follow the Norwich Public School closings. Each class has a theme!
Class 1

Learn simple signs for animals under the sea through fun songs, games and activities. Led by an On the Grow Educator, this class will also provide you with tips and strategies from Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn's best-selling parenting books to help you teach your child self-control. Join us for a "whale" of a good time!
Class 2

The theme of transportation becomes the "vehicle" for learning cooperation through fun signs, songs, stories, and activities. An On the Grow Educator will share insights from child development experts, Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn, to help you with this important parenting challenge. A great way to get your child on board the cooperation train!
Class 3

A child's world is full of colors! Join us for this 45-minute class which teaches fun activities and games to help children explore the colors in the world around them. Learn ASL color signs and how colors help build a foundation for future learning.
Class 4

Designed to help children appreciate the magic all around them when they venture outside, this play class makes learning fun through songs, activities, signs, and simple craft projects. Also included are tips for parents from Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn on how to nurture a child’s sense of pride in accomplishment. A great class for awakening children to the wonders of nature.
